Transformers Meet and Greet Universal Orlando

transformers meet and greet universal orlando

Transformers Opening Ceremony – June 2013. Photo: Universal Orlando Resort

Do you love Transformers?  You can have the ultimate meet and greet experience with the Transformers at Universal Studios.  These characters are huge (on stilts) and are amazing!  The costumes are incredible and their voices and sayings are terrific. Megatron is a little scary! Take a look!

The Transformers meet with guests on a little street between Shrek 4D and Monster Cafe. You can meet Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee. These characters usually appear daily 9am  – 6:30pm during the Summer. The switch approximately every 20 minutes.  When having your photo with them, you will need to stand a few feet in front of the character in a spot designated by the Team Members that accompany them. This is for the safety of the performer as well as the guest. Optimus Prime and Megatron have a few brief things to say, and Bumblebee has some songs to share, but they do not interact directly with you.

It’s a really cool experience. Check them out next time you are at Universal Orlando Resort!

Fresh, innovative and delicious, the sushi segment of the menu is far beyond what you’re accustomed to. All natural, creative and hearty, the burgers entice with fresh, never frozen, ingredients and bold flavors. If you can’t make up your mind, try a bento box to sample a mini-burger along with your choice of sushi roll and three tasty side items!

Check out our video tour of Cowfish Orlando, including a look at some of the food.

We tried “The Cowfish Has Offically Left The Building (A.K.A. The Hunka, Hunka),” which is a full-pound beef burger, creamy peanut butter, fried bananas, applewood bacon, brioche bun with a choice of side. (We made it a SINGLE HUNKA LOVE, half-pound beef burger for $12). The video also shows the Black Truffle Cheeseburger, which is a half-pound beef burger, black truffle cheese, roasted shallots, sautéed mushrooms, roasted garlic aioli, lettuce, brioche bun and choice of side, and a cute kid’s meal “bento box” with Tender, all natural chicken chunks flash fried, served with ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce. All Kid’s meals are served with two sides. New Peter Pan Queue at Magic Kingdom

Peter pans flight queue 1

Walt Disney World Resort has recently been adding interactive queues to attractions like Haunted Mansion and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The latest is at Peter Pan’s Flight in Magic Kingdom Park. Guests are now able to watch Tinker Bell fly around and interact with Wendy, John and Michael’s toys. They also see their own shadows come alive on the wall in the children’s nursery and get a sprinkle of pixie dust before they head off into Never Land with Peter Pan.

You head into the children’s nursery, passing the beds of Wendy, John and Michael, which are surrounded by their belongings and personal treasures. Tinker Bell has already arrived and is busy exploring – and causing a bit of mischief – all around the room. Tink also pulls some friendly tricks on you when your shadow hits the wall. Don’t be surprised if your arm’s shadow gets “hooked,” among other fun. Take a look at the video below to see what surprises await you are the new Peter Pan queue at Magic Kingdom!

It is hard not to stop and marvel at the charming detail and the fun effects the Imagineers have planned in this one. It’s simply amazing. We hope you check it out.

The queue is wheelchair accessible, too!
